The Weld Neck Flange nominal pipe size is 6” with a total diameter of 12.5”. It has a pressure class rating of 300 and has 12 bolt holes. It is made of AMSE B 16.5 (steel) and comes in a thickness of 3.8825”.

Function
The weld neck flange is designed to be welded via the elongated neck to the end of a pipe system, which serves to reduce stress near the joint and shifts that stress to the adjoining pipe.
