General Description
Non-sparking Lineman Pliers - Aluminium-Bronze - 15cm
These non-sparking lineman pliers are made from an aluminium-bronze combination. They have a size of 15cm. The tool is beryllium free and Factory Mutual (FM) certified.
Function
These hand tools grip onto a surface when the handles are squeezed, allowing them to pull the material to the desired location or position. The non-sparking quality ensures that when the cutting edge of the tool makes contact with its target, there will be no spark caused by the friction of the collision.
Applications
These linesman pliers can be used in any situation where pliers are required. Their non-sparking quality is particularly beneficial in environments that involve oil and gas works, such as pipeline construction and chemical plants.

Do any of these pliers include beryllium?
These non-sparking tools are beryllium free. With beryllium tools, there is a risk of chronic beryllium disease, which primarily affects the lungs and can be transferred to other parts of the body through the bloodstream, leading to slow deterioration. However, there are benefits to beryllium tools, as they provide protection against fires and explosions in hazardous environments, and have a strength and hardness not found in aluminum, brass and bronze tools. They work well for many specialized applications in precision devices and instruments. It is important to take care whether tools with or without beryllium will be best for your situation.
